This piano was built in the late 1800's in England by Bevan and Company Ltd, formerly registered as "The Cardiff Furnishers." It is referred to as a "birdcage" piano because of its action design. Unfortunately, it cannot be tuned to pitch unless restored. The tuning pins are too loose and the strings are rusty and brittle. It has one original candle holder but the other is missing.That said, its value lies in its antiquity and its original design. I've enjoyed having it and displaying it as a piece of artwork for the past 15 years. Due to physical ailments and because I have to move, I can no longer take it with me because of its weight.
